How to pack the perfect travel wardrobe July 31 2014
It goes without saying that when we travel we want to travel light. If you’re travelling for business you’re undoubtedly filling your all-important outfit space with document folders and laptops; or if you’re travelling for leisure, then you don’t want to over pack, because you must account for the non-negotiable shopping adventures and maintaining your baggage weight limits!
So how do we select our travel wardrobe that accounts for limited space, but can also take us from the resort to the boardroom; or from the mall to cocktails and all the while looking fabulous and feeling comfortable?
We think it’s all about sticking to the basics including jeans, tops, vests and a little black dress. And to stretch your wardrobe further, it’s all about selecting pieces for that can be layered from day to night, formal to relaxed.
When we travel we can’t go past our Coppins or Flinders tops. Flowing from under the bust and over the waist these tops come in block colours including red, navy and black, and is fabulous on all body shapes, particularly those with hips and waists. Pair with some jeans and flats and your good to go for a casual day out.
To take this outfit from day to dinner, we love to layer the Coppins or Flinders with one of our fabulous vests such as the Short Nepean or St Andrews. Layering gives the outfit a fantastic silhouette and a pop of pattern and colour.
Finally, we can’t go past our ultimate little black dress, the Fingal Dress. This dress is the ultimate chameleon outfit. Dress it up with some fabulous jewellery and a pair of boots and your set to hit the boardroom or a day at the boutiques.
What makes this our perfect travel wardrobe is not only the versatility of the garments, but also the fabrics. Lightweight, durable, flattering, they hold their shape when packed away during a flight.
